Persons Reported

Persons Reported

Synopsis, Characters, and Storylines for a 6 x 1 hour television drama series

"Persons Reported" – the code for civilians needing rescue – is a drama series involving the combined emergency and medical services in the fictional British town of Manston. With a highly visual stunt in each episode - such as a building crane collapse, arson, or a major road-traffic accident - we witness the situation unfold and how the victims are rescued and treated by the emergency services.

The 'heroes', whether they are police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, or nurses, become familiar to us as each episode  - and the series - progresses, because they are seen not only in their professional lives, but in their private lives as well. In real life, it is not uncommon to find a nurse married to a police officer; a father and son in the fire service; or a paramedic and a police officer in the same town sports team when off-duty. So it is, in Manston.

Importantly, we become voyeurs into the lives of these lead characters as they face professional and personal challenges such as guilt, suicide, sexuality, disability, misconduct, accountability, corruption, racism and adultery. Not to mention compassion, vulnerability, romance, lust, determination, loyalty and heroism.

For the emergency personnel in Manston, dramas don’t just happen at work
